Kate Middleton Baby Bump [PHOTOS] Baby Gender, Name Revealed! 6 Months Pregnant Kate Middleton Awaits Mid-July Due Date
Kate Middleton baby update!
While Prince William and Kate Middleton [and baby bump] eagerly await their July due date, many royal experts [and commoners like us] have been speculating over the gender and name for the royal baby for more than six months.
Even though the royal family hasn't officially confirmed anything, a source close to pregnant Kate told OK! Magazine the couple is indeed expecting...a girl! The same royal insider also revealed the name Middleton and William picked out for her...Alexandra. Adorable.
"They love the name. Wills has even tried it out when he talks to Kate's baby bump," the source told OK!
There you have it. Kate Middleton's baby bump will soon turn into a baby princess this time July.
Though Alexandra is a beautiful name for a baby girl, reaching far back into the history of the British empire, it's not the most conventional name for a royal baby. Diana and Elizabeth were believed to be other names considered. Alexandra isn't too far off though. Prince William's grandmother Queen Elizabeth II had the middle name Alexandra.
Middleton has had to stay quiet about sensitive information regarding her baby. In March, the Duchess almost slipped and revealed the baby's gender at a social event. Friends have reportedly seen Middleton shopping for baby girl attire.
"Friends have caught Kate looking at photos of baby clothes for girls, and their nursery seems to be getting pinker by the day," the insider says.
What do you think of Alexandra as a baby girl's name? If you were a Queen-in-waiting like Middleton what would you name your baby princess?
