Kanye West New Album Named 'Yeezus' / June 2013 Release Date / Kanye Debuts 3 New Songs at Governor's Ball Music Festival [VIDEO]

Kanye West has been pretty hush-hush about his super secret Paris recordings, which have now been confirmed as Kanye's new 2013 album Yeezus, scheduled for a June 18th release date.

Since Kanye's relationship with reality TV star Kim Kardashian, the tabloids have covered the couple's every move. Since Kim announced she was having a baby with the "Golddigger" rapper, Kanye's gossip magazine presence has gone through the roof.

Kanye used to be the enigmatic rapper recluse, who supplied radio waves with self-conscious, confessional lyrics on top of colorful beats and soul samples. Throughout his career, West has transformed himself from new MC on the block to a dark twisted schizo-scientist. Will Kanye fans be able to handle the new sinister sound of Yeezus?

"The million-dollar question is whether he'll be able to continue to promote it based on the art itself," says president of AllHipHop.com Chuck Creekmur. "Are people in tune with this darkness? There's so much escapism in hip-hop right now, I don't know if people are going to be interested in hearing someone getting gloomy."

If Kanye's previous album releases are indication, West shouldn't have a problem with first week album sales for Yeezus. Kanye could have some competition by the time June 18th roles around. New rap sensations Mac Miller and Statik Selektah are both releasing new albums the same day.

On Sunday night, Kanye debuted three new tracks from Yeezus at the Governor's Ball Music Festival. "Black Skinhead" was accompanied by huge LED screens flashing abrasive images like dogs barking, KKK inspired shadow figures, and "not for sale" signs. "New Slaves" followed suit with a similar ominous stage display. "On Site", arguably the most electronic inspired song off Yeezus followed a couple songs later.
