The Giants (1-0) continues on the road versus the Royals in Game 2 of the 2014 World Series, when Giants starter Jake Peavy (7-13, 3.73) is scheduled to start on Wednesday.

The Giants are looking to win their seventh title in team history (and their third title in five years) when they battle the team from the "Show Me State".

"When you've been playing for seven or eight months, it's nice to have an off day every now and then. But when you do have those workout days where you just go in and hit BP and take grounders and stuff, you try to keep it as much like game day as possible," said Giants' first baseman Brandon Belt to reporters.

The Giants defeated the Royals by a final score of 7-1 in Game 1 on Tuesday night.

Royals veteran second baseman Omar Infante is hoping to win the first championship of his Major League career.

"It's a short series, you need some luck. We lost four in a row and they were coming from playing seven. In this series, I think both teams are even," said Infante to reporters.

Meanwhile, the Royals (0-1) are attempting to eventually clinch their second 'Fall Classic' title in franchise history (after Kansas City defeated the St. Louis Cardinals, in seven games in the World Series 29 years ago), but first Kansas City must defeat San Francisco.

Royals 23-year-old hurler Yordano Ventura (14-10, 3.20) hopes to have the greatest performance of his career on the grandest stage of professional baseball on Wednesday night.
