CONTROVERSY: Justin Timberlake's new song "Take Back the Night" faces heat against organization to stop sexual violence

Can you say party foul?

Justin's Timberlake's highly anticipated return to music have left fans and critics alike angered by the pop star's lack of tack, ignorance, and utter density in the choice to name his title track "Take Back the Night".

Like most of Timberlake's music, the song is an anthem to partying, sex, and  as many would see it, women's oppression. Ironically, the phrase 'Take Back the Night' is the name of an organization that works to raise money and awareness for women that are victims of sexual abuse.

"It didn't help that Timberlake's lyrics were so provocative and suggestive: "The lyrics are definitely very sexual and not at all clearly anti-sexual violence. 'Use me,' for example, is not a great phrase for anyone affiliated with the organization. All of a sudden on Wikipedia, Take Back the Night has a different definition. That's not been helpful." said Katherine Kostner, the director of 'Take Back the Night'.

Activicts of 'Take Back the Night' are reprimanding Timberlake's act. He used the phrase without permission from the organization. Ratings are dropping for its release, as Timberlake is sure to face furthered repercussions for the song.

Kostner explained that the organization's goal is to promote healthy, respectful relationships, and expressed that "if Justin is on the side of healthy, respectful relationships, then we're a fan of his. And I hope we can move forward with his voice and all of those throughout the world who stand against sexual violence."

The pop star's best move is going to be to write a new song; this time an anthem to freedom from sexual abuse, leaving lyrics like 'use me' behind.
