Apple's iTunes Festival in London 2013: Justin Timberlake, Jessie J and Queens of the Stone Age First Headliners Announced

The iTunes Festival is back in London in September. Every night of the month, fans will have a chance a a ticket from a lottery as well as each show being streamed online via iTunes. 

The annual event takes place at The Roundhouse in north London.

The first headliners announced for this years festival are Justin Timberlake, Queens of the Stone Age (who happen to be releasing their first album in 6 years in June) and Jessie J. 

Queens of the Stone Age are scheduled to play on Sept 6th while Justin Timberlake is scheduled to perform on Sept. 29 (no word if Jay-Z will join him yet)

Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president of internet software and services, said: "Music fans around the world are going to love watching this incredible month of music, whether in London at the Roundhouse or on their own device. We're honoured so many renowned artists are part of this year's line-up."

Jessie J, who is also performing, said: "I'm excited to see you all at this year's iTunes Festival. I'll be back with new music, a new look and a party you're all invited to." 

More than 60 artists will take part in the free concert. Other acts confirmed on the bill so far include Jack Johnson, Phoenix, Primal Scream, Jake Bugg, and Thirty Seconds to Mars with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

The first iTunes Festival kicked off in 2007 and subsequent editions have featured a who's who of music stars including Paul McCartney, Crowded House, Foo Fighters, Muse, Amy Winehouse, Alicia Keys, Usher among others. 

Since then more than 370 artists have performed in the 6 years of the iTunes Festival existence.
