Justin Bieber Instagram Features Scripture on Forgiveness

Pop star Justin Bieber went on social media this week, where the 20-year-old Canadian used Bible quotes to ask people for forgiveness after a second video was leaked showing him using racial slurs when he was a teenager.

"When your sins weigh heavily upon you, come to Me...Stay in the Light of My Presence, receiving forgiveness, cleansing, and healing," posted Bieber from his Instagram account when he posted a photo of a book titled "Jesus Calling" by Sarah Young.

Bieber also posted another bible verse that can also be found in Young's book.

"Remember that I have clothed you in My righteousness, so nothing can separate you from Me. Whenever you stumble and fall, I am there to help you," wrote Bieber.

Two videos were recently leaked online where Bieber made some racist jokes regarding African-Americans and joining the Klu Klux Klan. The first video was made when he was 14-years-old, while the second video was created when he was 15-years-old.

Bieber's Christian mom Pattie Mallet wants people to pray for her son as he goes through trials and tribulations as a young celebrity.

"'I think so many people go into the entertainment industry with amazing Christian roots and they get influenced somehow', said Mallet to The Sun. "I ask that people keep me and Justin in their minds. I pray for him every day... If Justin's struggling, don't kick him when he's down or condemn him - pray for him."

Bieber's manager Scooter Braun also came to his client's defense regarding the recent controversy surrounding the young singer.

"Some mistakes have no excuses," wrote Braun on Instagram on June 4. "They are just wrong. But how a man reacts to those mistakes... How he owns it and learns from it... That defines him more than the mistake itself."
