Justin Bieber Disrespects Anne Frank? See What Bieber Wrote Here

On Friday, Justin Bieber and his entourage took time on their off day between concerts in Europe to visit the Anne Frank house.

This was the house in Amsterdam that Anne Frank and her family hid out in for two years while the Nazi's were rounding up all of the Jews.  Frank never left the house for those two years in hiding, so she would pass the time writing in her diary.  She and her family were eventually discovered and put into concentration camps in 1944 and she died of typhus in 1945.

Anne Frank's diary survived though and gave an inspiring and heart-wrenching view into what life was like for a Holocaust victim.  Her writings have been made into books and shared around the world as she is now an inspirational figure in history.

According to the Anne Frank House's Facebook page, here is what Justin Bieber signed in the guestbook, "Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber."

His comments have stirred up a lot of controversy since being circulated online.  What started out as a good move for Bieber to pay respect to Anne Frank has turned into another lapse in judgement for him.

Whatever his intentions in him choosing to say, "Hopefully she would have been a belieber" it came off as arrogant and self-serving to many people.  Not realizing that Anne Frank is already a part of history and will always be a part of history, long after Justin Bieber's fame as faded out.
One Facebook commenter wrote, "Glad he went, but, the last sentence is VERY self serving. He missed the lessons of Anne totally."

The next night, Saturday night, Bieber performed in the Dutch city of Arnhem in the Netherlands.

Do you think the backlash is acceptable or do you think people are misunderstanding what Bieber was trying to say?
