‘Justice League’ Movie Release Date, Cast Rumors: Who Will Play the Green Lantern? Affleck & Cavill Return

Zack Snyder's upcoming 'Justice League' film will reportedly hit the big screen in 2017, and Warner Bros. revealed some of the big named cast members for the highly-anticipated DC movie.

IGN reports that Batman, who relies on his sharp mind, physical prowess, and a slew of bat-themed gadgets to fight criminals will be played by Ben Affleck.

Affleck will also play Batman in the upcoming film 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'.

On that note, the Krypton-based "Kal-El," Clark Kent, or Superman will be played by Henry Cavill, who will also appear in both 'Justice League" and 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' film.

Moving forward, actress Gal Gadot will lasso her way in as Wonder Woman as she plays the chivalrous daughter of Zeus and Amazon Queen Hippolyta.

Beyond that, Aquaman will be played by Jason Mamoa who took on the role of Khal Drogo in HBO's 'Game of Thrones'.

Another superhero set to appear is The Flash, and according to IGN, if DC follows the New 52 League comic book, Barry Allen will be playing the role.

However, 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' actor Ezra Miller will play The Flash in 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'.

As it stands, there's no news as to who will be playing the role of the Green Lantern in the upcoming blockbuster 'Justice League'.

Next, the film will feature Cyborg who will be closely linked to Darkseid. This time around the superhero will be played by none other than Ray Fisher.

Lastly, boy-turned-magical Superhero and Cyborg's good friend, Shazam is also rumored to appear in the movie, although it has not been finalized yet. If he ever appears in the movie, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is rumored for the role.
