‘Jurassic World' Release Date, Plot Rumors: Fight Out Between Chris Pratt & Dinosaur Diabolus Rex

Fans of the original 'Jurassic Park' film will have to brace themselves for a new man versus dinosaur battle in the upcoming 'Jurassic World' movie.

Set more than two decades after the original movie, 'Jurassic World' takes place on the same island as the first film - the Dinosaur Theme Park island on the fictional island of Nublar. The sequel follows Chris Pratt, who plays Owen, a scientist working side-by-side with the dinosaurs at the theme park, particularly the velociraptors.

The park, however, is experiencing some trouble as the crowds started thinning out. It prompted the owners of the theme park to add a new, star attraction - the Diabolus Rex or D-Rex, which was born from the mixture of cuttlefish, snakes, Tyrannosaurus Rex and velociraptor genes.

Early reports about the movie suggested that Pratt's character could possibly lead the "good" dinosaurs in the park into a battle with the "bad" beasts.

The movie's director, Colin Trevorrow, said that the dinosaurs could be divided into two categories - predators and prey - and there's a chance that the humans of 'Jurassic World' will use this knowledge to battle D-Rex.

"This film is about our relationship with animals, how we react to the threat they pose to our dominance on earth as a species," Trevorrow said in an interview with Slash Film, "We hunt them, we cage them in zoos, we admire them from afar and we try to assert control over them."

Joining Pratt in 'Jurassic World' is actress Bryce Dallas Howard, who will play the character of Claire. Vincent D'Onofrio is Morton, the chief financial officer of the Masrani Corp. Rounding up the cast are actors Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Irrfan Khan, Jake Johnson and Lauren Lapkus.

Recently, the team behind 'Jurassic World' took to the film's official Twitter page to share the first glimpse of the visitor's center in the fictional theme park. The image shows the inside of a display center, complete with small educational podiums that are labeled for each dinosaur piece, including the T-Rex.

"Thanks to @Brycenator100, we have our first look inside the #JurassicWorld visitor center," the caption reads.

'Jurassic World' is scheduled to hit movie theaters in June 2015.
