'Jumanji 2': On-Set Photo Of 'Jumanji 2' News & Update: Cast Draws Major Backlash

The upcoming sequel of "Jumanji" came under fire after an on-set photo of the cast members was posted online.

Kevin Hart, who stars in the movie alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Jack Black and Karen Gillan, posted a photo of the "Jumanji" cast on Instagram to rave about the chemistry between the stars. However, the post ended up drawing major backlash from social media users due to the apparent difference between the men's outfits and Gillan's.

In the photo, the men are wearing commando-style outdoor wear, while Gillan is donning a skimpy outfit, with impractically short shorts, a tight-fitting crop top, and knee-high boots. Critics found her outfit hardly sensible for running through the jungle and even labeled the movie "sexist."

In his attempt to calm the storm, Johnson commented on Hart's photo, saying that it's not how it looks.

"Her jungle wardrobe will make sense when you know the plot. Trust me," he said.

Despite Johnson's explanation, however, fans remained up in arms and even threatened to boycott the upcoming remake of Robin William's 1995 hit movie.

One critic commented, "All the guys are dressed for the jungle, except the girl who's dressed like she's in the beginning of an adult film. If the girl's going to dress like that, pass. I have two young girls."

Another commented, "I know that you just put her there so she could be sexy and be saved all the time, but it's a jungle."

The critics claim that Gillan's outfit is unreasonable and is a perfect picture of woman objectification.

"Jumanji 2" is slated for release in 2017.
