The Jonas Brothers Announce Break Up: The Band Has Unanimously Decided to Split Up [PHOTO]
The Jonas Brothers have decided to part ways after a unanimous decision to end the band, sources say. The three brothers met earlier this month and talked about the future of the band and chose to continue on as individuals instead of in the Jonas Brothers.
The brothers are on good terms and are all working on their own solo projects. Some fans and critics speculate that this decision was a long time coming. They site evidence such as the fact that the group deleted their Twitter account early this month while all of their individual accounts remained active.
Nick Jonas, the youngest of the brothers, said, "I was feeling kind of trapped. I needed to share my heart with my brothers. It's really hard to say 'forever.' We're closing a chapter, for sure."
The Jonas Brothers formed in New Jersey in 2005 and rose to international success through help from the Disney Channel. They were nominated for a Grammy at the peak of their success and became individual celebrities as well, even going so far as to start their own reality show called "Married to Jonas."
There are various rumors that fighting between the brothers and Joe Jonas' alleged substance abuse were the reasons for the break up, but sources close to the group claim that these rumors are false.
Be on the lookout for the solo projects from the three brothers and who knows, maybe there will be a Jonas Brothers reunion soon!
