Johnny Depp, Morgan Freeman, Rebecca Hall and Kate Mara Team up for 'Transcendence' Movie

The 'Transcendence' movie written by Jack Paglen and is the directorial debut of Oscar-winning cinematographer Wally Pfister,

announced.  

Christopher Nolan is executive producing 'Transcendence' with his wife Emma Thomas and Aaron Ryder while Straight Up Films' Marisa Polvino, Annie Marter and Kate Cohen are producing.

Morgan Freeman is finalizing negotiations to join the 'Transcendence' team to join the 'House of Cards' Actress Kate Mara and the one and only, Johnny Depp.  

Rebecca Hall and Paul Bettany are reportedly signed up to star on the film as well.  Shooting is planning on starting in Los Angeles in May and have a tentative release date set for April 25, 2014 through Warner Bros.  

The Sci-fi movie's plot has been closely guarded, but the film is being described as in the vein of 2001: A Space Odyssey and Inception.  Johnny Depp's character is said to be a man who creates a computer program that develops an awareness.

Morgan Freeman has been staying busy as ever recently starring in 'Olympus Has Fallen' and last year's 'The Dark Knight Rises'.  Freeman will also be in the new Tom Cruise movie 'Oblivion'.
