Multiple Grammy and Dove Award-winning rocker, John Schlitt, released his newest single "The Gift" on February 4, just in time for Valentine's Day. The song was written in honor of his wife, Dorla, and is the latest cut off the album The Greater Cause.

"The Gift" has already garnered critical acclaim, as it was named a Top Relationship Song by NewReleaseTuesday in 2012.

"It is wonderful to see that the song, 'The Gift,' which celebrates the special relationship between my God, my wife, and myself, can also be special to others," says Schlitt. Schlitt says that the song, co-written with The Greater Cause's producer, Dan Needham, as well as Grammy Award-winner writer Drew Ramsey, is based on Ecclesiastes 4:9,12 ("Two are better than one" and "a three-fold cord is not quickly broken").

In preparation for the holiday, Schlitt is working with A-Sides Radio Promotion to get "The Gift" added to radio playlists. "We believe that 'The Gift' is a wonderful song for programmers to add throughout the first half of February in preparation for Valentine's Day," says Jeff McLaughlin, president of A-Sides. "Its message of love between a man and a woman, which God created, will be a nice addition to the playlist during this season."
