John Mayer is just one month away from dropping his latest batch of songs on his fans. His new album Paradise Valley is set to release on August 13th. 

This will be the sixth-studio album from Mayer, the new album will be released on Columbia Records. 

This album seemed to come up pretty quickly with Mayer just releasing Born and Raised a year ago, on May 22, 2012. However, since he was down for a couple years not able to sing, he clearly had time to write plenty of music that he was ready to get out. Thankfully his voice was able to go back to normal. 

It is nice when an artist can put out records quickly, the way the Beatles used to pump out records. It seems most artists today wait 2 or 3 years, sometimes even longer, between albums. So this is a nice treat for all of the fans out there. 

Mayer is widely regarded as one of the best songwriters of the last 10 years.

The song, "Paper Doll", that many have already heard, has rumors that it is actually written about his one time girlfriend, Taylor Swift. Not sure if we would ever get a direct answer on that, but it makes for an interesting listen.
