Jeremy Lin News: Twitter Post References Clippers Owner Donald Sterling

In a recent post on Twitter, Houston Rockets point guard Jeremy Lin and his teammate Chandler Parsons exchanged messages in which the 25-year-old Asian-American athlete made reference to Clippers' controversial owner Donald Sterling, who recently received a life time ban from the NBA for making racist remarks.

"Cleaned out my locker ... first person to correctly guess the restaurant name of my first meal in Palo Alto wins...," wrote Lin to his Twitter followers on May 5, when he offered to give the winner a pair of his sneakers.

Parsons then jokingly tweeted the following on his official Twitter page on Monday.

"@JLin7 Panda Express," wrote Parsons.

As a result, Lin playfully made the reference to Sterling in his tweet to his teammate and friend Parsons.

"@Chandler Parsons lol good guess chandler 'donald sterling' parsons," wrote Lin via his Twitter page.

Lin's Twitter messages to Parsons were deleted shortly after. In addition, Parsons also erased his twitter messages to Lin.

Sterling is currently banned from the NBA for life after his privately-made racist statements towards black people to his former girlfriend V. Stiviano (who is half African-American and half Mexican) was made public as result of a secret recording. Sterling went on the controversial tirade because he was infuriated that she took a photo with Magic Johnson on Instagram.

"In your lousy f****** Instagrams, you don't have to have yourself with -- walking with black people," said Sterling to Stiviano. "Admire him, bring him here, feed him, **** him, but don't put (Magic Johnson) on an Instagram for the world to have to see so they have to call me. And don't bring him to my games."

People were also offended and outraged when Sterling was also recorded saying the following statement to his ex-girlfriend:

"You can sleep with (black people). You can bring them in; you can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it on that ... and not to bring them to my games," said Sterling.

Donald's estranged wife Shelly Sterling does not want to sell her share of the Clipers team (that she co-owns with her husband) because of the team's recent success.
