Jeremy Lin News: Linsanity Reveals His 'Greatest Sin' (VIDEO)
Jeremy Lin, the devout Christian Los Angeles Lakers point guard, recently revealed the biggest sin he constantly struggles with as a male athlete.
"I'm not humble. Pride is [the] greatest sin I struggle with," wrote Lin via Facebook during his recent Fan Appreciation Week, "But I'd say as I get older, go through more experiences in life and face tougher obstacles, I realize that I'm more sinful and need God more than I ever imagined."
Lin previously talked about the struggles he faced during the past two seasons as a member of the Houston Rockets, where he was primarily used as a bench player this past year.
"When I look back on not just this past year but maybe the past two years, I think I've learned and grown a lot as a person, as a Christian and as a basketball player," said Lin to reporters on July 24.
"From the minute I stepped into Houston until now, I'm definitely a much more complete player. I've learned how to do a lot of things I maybe never had to do before," he added.
Lin also revealed that he does not feel the pressure anymore to live up to his greatest season, which birthed the 'Linsanity' craze, when he makes his Lakers debut in a couple of months this upcoming 2014-2015 NBA season.
"It's been a huge weight off my shoulders. I'm not trying to recreate Linsanity. I'm not trying to be that phenomenon that happened in New York. I think I just want to be myself, more than ever," said Lin.
Lin's Los Angeles Lakers battle his former team (Houston Rockets) on Opening Night at the Staples Center on October 28 at 7:30pm at the TNT Network.
