A musical documentary capturing Jenny's emotions during a period of great change and transition, The Becoming are an infectiously joyful and ambitiously hopeful debut solo projects while simultaneously being real, raw and ever so relatable.

Partnering with her long-time record label, Fair Trade Services, and the masterful production skills of Paul Moak (Mat Kearney, Third Day) and Seth Mosley (Newsboys), Simmons penned the album in the wake of the amicable Addison Road disbandment.

Jenny's vocal abilities continue to impress, lending an honest and authentic voice to lyrics that hit listeners with disarming relevance. In addition, her songwriting prowess has evolved and enriches the project with authenticity and purpose.
