Two of the world's most loved heroines from popular movie franchises came together in an unconventional way last Monday at the Christian Dior event in Paris.

Fans and photographers were thrilled to see Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Watson as they get chummy with one another and playfully pose for the camera. At one point, Lawrence, who is famous for her over-the-top sense of humor even face-palmed Watson in an effort to jokingly steal the limelight, which Watson appeared all too happy to comply with.

It is reported that the two have met several times prior to the fashion show and always seem pleasantly friendly with one another. The duo's wacky antics instantly sparked online petitions of a Thelma and Louise-type movie starring the two actresses which will enable them to step out of their old characters' shadows.

At the fashion show, the Hunger Games heroine sat in the front row with the Harry Potter sweetheart. Lawrence, the current face of Dior handbags, and Watson enjoyed watching the Fall/ Winter 2014-2015 collections in the gardens of the Musee' Rodin, and flanked the company's CEO, Sydney Toledano. It has been reported that Toledano tapped both of the young stars to be brand ambassadors of Dior in order to appeal to a younger market.

Lawrence looked tanned, toned and relaxed at the showing in the City of Lights, where she was joined by Hollywood A-listers Charlize Theron, Sean Penn, Marion Cotillard, blogger and fashionista Olivia Palermo, and US Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

Watson stepped up her style in a Dior Haute Couture dress, Dior cut-out heels and an Eva Fehren cuff.
