If you watched last night's Miami Heat game you probably saw the 3 minute long Samsung Galaxy S4 commercial featuring Jay-Z talking about his upcoming album with producer Rick Rubin. Apparently Kanye's not the only one with a new summer release. And they're sharing producers!

The Jay-Z clip was the first official announcement of the rapper's new album Magna Carta Holy Grail scheduled for a July 4^th at 12:01 AM release date for Samsung subscribers. The rest of us can buy Magna Carta July 7^th.

To generate some hype for the new album, Jay-Z and Samsung agreed on a deal to give one million Galaxy phone owners a free copy of Magna Carta and have designed an app to download Jay's new album. The app will be available in the Google Play Store on June 22^nd. 

Samsung reportedly paid Jay-Z $5 for each of the one million albums, the smartphone company promised to give away.

The Twitter world was a little harsh on Jay-Z's new album commercial, claiming the King of Hip-Hop is a sell out. But this isn't the first time Jay-Z has partnered with a cell-phone company for one of his new album releases.

Back in 2003, Jay-Z partnered with Nokia for The Black Album release. Why fans are getting upset now seems a little mistimed.
