Jay-Z New Album 2013 Release Date: "Magna Carta Holy Grail" Out in July / Rapper Partners with Samsung, 1 Million Album Giveaway [VIDEO]

If you watched last night's Miami Heat game you probably saw the 3 minute long Samsung Galaxy S4 commercial featuring Jay-Z talking about his upcoming album with producer Rick Rubin. Apparently Kanye's not the only one with a new summer release. And they're sharing producers!

The Jay-Z clip was the first official announcement of the rapper's new album Magna Carta Holy Grail scheduled for a July 4th at 12:01 AM release date for Samsung subscribers. The rest of us can buy Magna Carta July 7th.

To generate some hype for the new album, Jay-Z and Samsung agreed on a deal to give one million Galaxy phone owners a free copy of Magna Carta and have designed an app to download Jay's new album. The app will be available in the Google Play Store on June 22nd

Samsung reportedly paid Jay-Z $5 for each of the one million albums, the smartphone company promised to give away.

The Twitter world was a little harsh on Jay-Z's new album commercial, claiming the King of Hip-Hop is a sell out. But this isn't the first time Jay-Z has partnered with a cell-phone company for one of his new album releases.

Back in 2003, Jay-Z partnered with Nokia for The Black Album release. Why fans are getting upset now seems a little mistimed.

Here's the Jay-Z new album commercial that aired during last night's Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
