Jay Z New Album 2013 Magna Carta Holy Grail Release Date, Tracklist / New Songs Available Via Samsung App

Yes folks, Jay-Z has a new album coming out in 2013. The self-proclaimed King of Rap will be promoting Magna Carta Holy Grail on the Late Show with David Letterman.

According to a story published by the New York Post, Jay-Z will perform songs from his new album on top of the Ed Sullivan Theater's iconic marquee. Jay-Z is going Macca!

Before the private concert is confirmed, Jay will need permission from the city of New York to shut down surrounding streets like Broadway, West 53rd to 54th.

Word of Magna Carta Holy Grail first surfaced in a Samsung Galaxy S4 commercial, featuring the rapper writing lyrics and creating new songs with help from legendary producer Rick Rubin.

Jay-Z hasn't been shy previewing songs from the new album's tracklist.

In the new song Blue, Jay raps about the "paranoia of not being a great dad," citing his father abandoning him when he was young as a source of fear.

In Heaven, Jay-Z believes in a just God that wouldn't force humans to burn because of their sins.

Other songs like Oceans featuring...you guessed it Frank Ocean, and a duet with his wife Beyonce on Part II (On the Run). On Holy Grail Jay teams up with Justin Timberlake. The two will co-headline the Legends of the Summer 2013 Tour.

Magna Carta Holy Grail will be available for Samsung owners via a special app July 4th, and released July 7th for the rest of us.
