Jay-Z & Drake In Studio Together, Working on Music & Dissing Chris Brown at the Same Time? (VIDEO)
A photo has surfaced of two of the hottest rappers in the game right now, Jay-Z and Drake.
The photo was posted by producer Lenny S. and under the photo, he wrote: "Warning: Please be very afraid of the music we're working on. OVO x ROCNATION."
This photo would be gaining buzz if it was just about the two making new music together, however the Chris Brown factor makes it that much more interesting.
Jay-Z has been a mentor to Rihanna for most of her music career. In February 2005, RiRi signed a record deal with Def Jam Recordings after auditioning in front of CEO Jay-Z and he's been a leading force throughout her career ever since.
Jay was not a fan of Rihanna reuniting with Chris Brown after he assaulted her in February 2009. Then of course Drake comes in when he and Brown got in an altercation at a nightclub.
So now that Jay-Z is working with Drake, it appears as though he's chosen sides between Drake and Chris Brown.
It is not clear what music they are working on or for which artist, but signs are pointing toward Jay's new LP. His last solo album, The Blueprint 3, was released in 2009. However, Drake is also working on a new album, so it could be material for either or both.
Jay-Z and Drake have worked together in the past on "Light Up" off Drake's debut album Thank Me Later.
Do you think Jay-Z is dissing Chris Brown by teaming up with Drake?
Maybe there will be a verse about Brown in one of the upcoming songs.
