Drake and Jay-Z Feud 2014: Can Rihanna Help Bring Peace? Cease Fire on NBA 2014 Playoffs
The Jay Z-Drake feud went into cease fire recently as the two rap superstars watched Game 7 of the NBA 2014 Playoffs between the Brooklyn Nets and the Toronto Raptors.
The two famously have been feuding with several exchanges of lyrics sparked by Drake addressing Jay Z's art hobby as "corny."
Some are now asking, can Rihanna act as a mediator between the two to help them resolve their differences, given her current relationship with boyfriend Drake?
In a song released by DJ Khaled, They Don't Love Your No More, Jay Z rhymes, "Haters wanna ball let me tighten up my drawstring, wrong sports boy, you know you soft as a lacrosse team."
Drake backfires in his feature with Lil Wayne's Believe Me, rapping, "I've been talking s*** light, you don't wanna hear me trip/God damn, do ya'll really know who you f***** with?"
A HollywoodLife.com source has claimed that the feud between Drake and Jay Z is something that will unlikely be taken to the next level. "...It's business. A little back and forth ain't hurt nobody. Drake and Jay are industry tycoons, they will be just fine."
Jay Z and Drake have both developed close relationships with RnB singer Rihanna, and fans are wondering if the 26-year-old Barbadian recording artist can reconcile the two.
Drake was originally quoted in a Rolling Stone interview saying, "It's like Hov can't drop bars these days without at least four art references." Jay Z retaliated in his music: "People look at you strange, saying you changed/ Like you worked that hard to stay the same."
