Jason Gray Record-Breaking Add Week
Centricity Music's Jason Gray continues to set new milestones with his career, as his new single, Nothing Is Wasted has received a record-breaking 21 radio adds for street week. Stations include; K-LOVE Radio Network; FISH/Los Angeles, CA; New Life Media, Chicago, IL; KTIS, Minneapolis, MN; KJHY, St. Louis, MO; WQME, Indianapolis, IN; and WHPZ, South Bend, IN. Four of Gray's previous radio singles hit Top 5 on the AC charts, and resulted in him winning two ASCAP Performance Awards in 2011 and 2012. With such a strong start for Nothing Is Wasted, the song seems to be on the fast track to being another chart topper.
"We are absolutely thrilled with the success of Nothing Is Wasted and the out-of-the-box adds that it received from radio during add week," says Jennifer Allen, Director of National Radio Promotion, Centricity Music. "With his past four singles charting as Top 5 hits I can't express enough how grateful we are for radio's continued support for Jason and his music."
Greg Cassidy, Music Director, KJHY/St. Louis, MO feels the lyrics for Nothing Is Wasted need to be heard. "We all go through stuff and have to wonder WHY? The good news is that God can use whatever mess we're in for something good in the end. We forget that, but this song is an awesome reminder of God's love and grace in any situation."
The power of the single has led to Centricity Music releasing the Nothing Is Wasted EP that will be available exclusively at iTunes. The 5-song EP features the radio remix of the single, plus a piano vocal version of the song. The 3 other tunes are from Gray's A Way To See In The Dark Special Edition, which is only sold at Gray's concerts. At the same time, Gray's A Way To See In The Dark album has climbed to #50 on Billboard's Top Christian albums chart.
Gray has just finished The Storytellers Tour with labelmate Andrew Peterson that proved to be immensely popular with six sold-out dates on the tour. Gray will be heading into the studio late spring to begin recording his 4th album for Centricity Music that will release late in 2013.
