On May 13, Word Entertainment's Jason Castro commenced shooting for "The Perfect Summer" in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. The singer/songwriter has a role as a surf shop owner named Cody in "The Perfect Summer" which is due to premiere on GMC later this year. Castro, whose current single "Rise To You" is at radio now, can also be seen throughout the country with the Sidewalk Prophets this month and with Ryan Cabrera and Deleasa next month.

Internationally-renowned recording artist and "American Idol" contestant Jason Castro has topped radio charts in multiple countries, including: Norway, Singapore and The Philippines. His self-titled debut album entered the Billboard Top 200 Album chart at No. 18.
