James Jacks Networth: Blockbuster Movie Producer Leaves $500K to Home Church, 'Pray for My Mortal Soul'
Film producer James Jacks was able to bless his home church greatly before passing away as he has reportedly left a large donation to the house of worship.
According to TMZ the award-wining producer of The Mummy and Scorpion King was said to leave 500k as part of a last donation, and wished that the congregation "pray for [his] mortal soul." Jakes died on Jan. 20 after suffering a heart attack at his Los Angeles home.
The celebrity site said in his handwritten Will he instructed that $500,000 be given to the church, St Charles Borromeo of Toluca Lake and requested that his good friends hand out party favors to those who attended his wake.
Under the will Jacks left his 300 movies collection to his mom in whom she chose her favorites and the rest were to be given away to friends and family at the wake. The site also stated that anyone who took a movie on laser disc also got one of his laser disc players.
Jacks gun collection went to his brother and nephew, under the conditions that they took a gun safety course. The generous producer also gave his longtime housekeeper $15,000 for her years of faithful service.
Jack's died at age 66 after a successful career in Hollywood. Known for his production onRat Race, The Hunted, Dazed and Confused among many others.
In the wake of Jacks' death his producing partners Sean Daniel and Kevin Smith paid tribute to a "good man".
"Nobody loved movies more. Passionate, loyal, generous, accomplished, noble, caring, heavily armed, creative, dare I say obsessive on occasion. A good man, a good friend, a wonderful partner, a loving son to his family," Daniels said in a Facebook message Monday.
