James Bond ‘Spectre’ Script Leaks, Plot Spoilers: Sony Confirms Hackers Stole Upcoming Film Script

Sony Entertainment has confirmed that a draft of the script for 'Spectre', the 24th James Bond film which is being produced by Eon, a British firm production company, has been stolen along with other information when a hacker group called Guardians of Peace allegedly attacked its database.

IBTimes reports that Eon issued a statement on Saturday, which reads, "Eon Productions is concerned that third parties who have received the stolen screenplay may seek to publish it or its contents," adding, "Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Danjaq LLC will take all necessary steps to protect their rights against the persons who stole the screenplay, and against anyone who makes infringing uses of it or attempts to take commercial advantage of confidential property it knows to be stolen."

According to the website, the shocking leak started on Nov. 24 when Guardians of Peace took responsibility for making public a horde of classified information, which included medical records of Sony's employees, private email exchanges by the employees, as well as the fake aliases used by several celebrities to check into hotels at different times.

Citing documents, the report says that the budget of the upcoming James Bond movie is likely to be more than $50 million compared to 'Skyfall', the last James Bond movie that was released in 2012.

In addition to Daniel Craig who will reprise his role as James Bond in 'Spectre', the movie will also star Christoph Waltz of 'Django Unchained', Monica Belluci and French actress Lea Sydoux.
