Jackie Chan Dead? Internet Claims Another Death Hoax Victim
Why does the Internet love to kill off celebrities. According to the Web, Jackie Chan died in August. Fans couldn't believe the loveable action star was dead. Turns out it was just another online death hoax.
Jackie Chan, being Jackie Chan, found the death hoax comical and took to his Facebook account to prove he was alive, by posting a photo of him holding that day's newspaper.
"...Everybody called me to see if I was alive."
"If I died, I would probably tell the world! I took a photo with today's date, just in case you don't believe me! However, thank you all for your concern."
Unfortunately for the Rush Hour actor, he's been the victim of death hoaxes before. Back in 2011 a Facebook page popped up online with the title called "Jackie Chan 08/17/2011". The page reported a heart attack claimed Chan's life.
Chan's most recent death hoax claimed he died after performing a stunt for an upcoming movie.
Never fear Jackie Chan fans, he's not dead, but maybe the Internet is. Chances are if you're on Twitter and see #RIP hashtags, click the X on the top right of the page and go outside.
Live on Chan!
