Jaci Velasquez Wins Remi Award at WorldFest Film Festival for Involvement with Christmas Movie 'Miracle At Gate 213'
Christian recording artist Jaci Velasquez recently won a Remi Award at the WorldFest Film Festival for her role in Christmas movie "Miracle At Gate 213."
The festival took place in Houston, TX, and the film beat out hundreds of other movies, a press release stated. "Miracle At Gate 213" won in the category for "TV Special-Dramatic."
"I am honored and humbled to be part of such an inspiring project like Miracle At Gate 213," said Velasquez through a press release. "Working with incredible actors like Shirley Jones, Louis Gossett, Della Reese, and the amazing Deniece Williams, is an opportunity I will cherish forever. The success of Miracle At Gate 213 is testament to the positive impact that interfaith, family friendly programming is having on the entertainment industry, and in the lives of viewers across the country."
In the film Velasquez plays a flight attendant named Elena Craig who gets stranded at an airport due to weather conditions. Little by little all of the travelers in this airport began experiencing miracles.
