Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: Pro Israel Stars Speak Out Over Anti-Semitism From Hollywood Peers (VIDEO)

The raging conflict in the Middle East between Israel and Palestine has the world divided, including Hollywood. Actor and father of actress Angelina Jolie, Jon Voight, spoke towards fellow actors Penelope Cruz and others for their "anti-Semitism."

A very passionate Voight said in an open letter published Saturday that he is "heartsick" that Mrs. Cruz and her husband, actor Javier Bardem, "could incite anti-Semitism all over the world and are oblivious to the damage they have caused."

Cruz and Bardem along with several Spanish actors signed a letter calling Israel's actions "genocide" and demanded that the EU "condemn the bombing by land, sea and air against the Palestinian civilian population in the Gaza Strip." Later, the couple said they only wanted peace in the Middle East.

In his letter Voight noted, "Israel has always labored for a peaceful relation with its Arab neighbors... It voluntarily returned the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt in return for peace, and gave the Palestinians all of Gaza as a peace gesture. What was the response? The Palestinians elected Hamas, a terrorist organization, and they immediately began firing thousands of rockets into Israel."

"You have forgotten how this war started. Did Hamas not kidnap and kill three young teenagers for the sake of killing, and celebrated after the killing? What a travesty of justice," Voight continued.

He then addressed American celebrities directly, "You have been able to become famous and have all your monetary gains because you are in a democratic country: America," he said, "Do you think you would have been able to accomplish this in Iran, Syria, Lebanon, et cetera? You had a great responsibility to use your celebrity for good. Instead, you have defamed the only democratic country of goodwill in the Middle East: Israel."

"You should hang your heads in shame. You should all come forth with deep regrets for what you did, and ask forgiveness from the suffering people in Israel," Voight concluded.

Howard Stern chimed in on the conflict in the Middle East as well, siding with Israel, "If you are anti-Israel, you are anti-America,'' Stern, declared last month on his Sirius XM show, "It's the only democracy over there. It's the only friend we have who's willing to fight and stand up for what's right.''

Controversial personality Joan Rivers, passionately spoke to TMZ.com about her stance too, "Let me just tell you, if New Jersey were firing rockets into New York, we would wipe them out,'' she said, "If we heard they were digging tunnels from New Jersey to New York, we would get rid of Jersey."

'American Idol' and 'X Factor' creator, Simon Cowell, has received death threats on Twitter since news that he participated in a mitzvah and donated $150,000 had surfaced. The charity helped aid friends of the Israeli Defense Forces, an organization formed by Holocaust survivors that pays for the education and care of Israeli troops and supports families of slain soldiers.

Earlier this year, Scarlett Johansson boldly faced international criticism after she refused to resign as brand ambassador of SodaStream because it produces carbonation devices at a factory in the West Bank.

Comedian Jackie Mason spoke out on the matter, "How come there was no disagreement anywhere in the world by celebrities after the attacks on September 11th, when we decided to take action against Al Qaeda and the Taliban for unprovoked attacks on innocent people? This was after only one incident," Mason told FOX411.

"Only in the case of Israel, are the terrorists treated as victims and Israel the aggressor," Mason said.

Other celebrities disagreed and sided with Palestine. Last month, Madonna posted a picture of flowers that she compared to Palestinian children on her Facebook page, "Who has the right to destroy them?'' she wrote. "No one!''

One Direction member, Zayn Malik, tweeted "#FreePalestine," and Rihanna also tweeted "#FreePalestine," then deleted it shortly after, and said she did it accidentally.

Pop singer Selena Gomez, is on the side of peace for all. I an Instagram message she wrote, "It's About Humanity. Pray for Gaza.'' She followed it up with a post that said, "I am not picking any sides. I am praying for peace and humanity for all.''
