ISIS in America News: Lone Wolf Terror Attacks, State Department Issues Warning

The State department has issued a warning that U.S interests and its citizens are threatened by ISIS. Even as the U.S and its allies are hounding Syria to stall the progress of ISIS to capture the country's political leadership, the warning has been issued in the interest of all Americans traveling abroad.

The State department has said that revenge attacks by ISIS are more likely than ever before and asked its citizens to be on alert. They have pointed out the spate of individual kidnapping of U.S and U.K citizens to drive home the point.

The warning based on the reports by both FBI and Homeland Security does not mention an imminent threat to the country, but has pointed out that the country will be susceptible to Lone Wolf attacks.

Members of the ISIS have repeatedly called for Muslims in the U.S and the U.K to launch a holy war or Jihad against their own countrymen. This is most dangerous as the data base of such extremists who act alone cannot be maintained by the state.

It has also raised a concern of home grown terrorists who have already fled their home country to join the ranks of ISIS. According to the terror report tabled by both FBI and Homeland Security more than 100 such Americans may have joined or tried to flee the country in their bid to join ISIS forces in Syria.

The Lone wolf attack may also be mounted by radical American Muslims who have returned to the country without the knowledge of the US authorities.
