'Iron Man 4' Movie News, Rumors: Robert Downey Jr. To Take On Iron Man Suit In 2020?

With Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's Marvel Comics film "Captain America: Civil War" hitting theaters soon, rumors have surfaced with regard the highly speculated "Iron Man 4."

According to Pak1stan First, Robert Downy Jr. Is set to reprise his role as the metal-suited Avenger with the alter ego Tony Stark in an "Iron Man 4 film." As per the publication, Marvel Studios is not yet planning on pushing forward any "Iron Man" film until around 2020.

In October 2015, Marvel Studios announced its film line-up until 2020 and in line with the studio's revelation, some rumors claimed that one of the 2020 films was going to be "Iron Man 4." The three unannounced films are set to be released on May 1, 2020, July 2020, and Nov. 6, 2020.

As per Screen Rant, the films could be a fourth "Captain America" film with Bucky or Falcon donning the suit, a "Doctor Strange" sequel, or another "Inhumans" film, with "Fast and Furious" actor Vin Diesel rumored to play Black Bolt.

For the time being, fans are set to see Iron Man in the Russos' "Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1 and Part 2" and in "Captain America: Civil War," which sees the Avengers in two divided factions. Downey Jr.'s Iron Man is set to join forces with War Machine, Black Widow, Vision, Black Panther and Spider-Man while Captain America teams up with Hawkeye, Bucky, Falcon, Ant-Man, Scarlet Witch, and Agent 13.

The Russos' "Captain America: Civil War" is set to hit theaters in the United States on May 6. Meanwhile, "Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1" hits theaters on May 4, 2018 while "Part 2" is set to premiere on May 3, 2019.
