'Iron Man 4' Latest News Update: Robert Dowey Jr. Now Hints Fourth Movie Is Likely

Contrary to previous reports, Robert Downey Jr. has recently asserted that a fourth installment to the 'Iron Man' movie franchise is mostly likely going to get through the negotiation phase.

Earlier, Downey, whose contract with Universal Cinematic Universe ends with the upcoming 'Avengers 3' and 'Avengers: Age of Ultron', had said, "No, there's no plan for a fourth 'Iron Man'." But he made a U-turn last week saying that he may continue to reprise the role in the future.

Beyond that, Downey appeared on the latest episode of 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' on Tuesday, where the actor was once again questioned regarding the possibility of an 'Iron Man 4' film, and this time he revealed that the movie likely coming out.

Downey said, "I know there's going to be a bunch more Marvel movies," adding, "And they have big ideas of how to do it best and we're in the middle of negotiation..." To this, Ellen quickly prompted, "So, yes?" and Downey replied "Okay, yes!"

In addition, on Tuesday, Downey also participated in a Reddit AMA where he offered a very cryptic teaser, saying, "Sooner than later the Marvel Roster will be made public and all questions will be answered."

According to another report, Downey also appeared on 'The Late Show' and when David Letterman questioned him about 'Iron Man 4' he again answered in the affirmative.

Meanwhile, Downey will be seen as Iron Man next in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron', which is scheduled for release on May 1, 2015.
