IPL 2014 Live Stream Free: Watch T20 Cricket Chennai Super Kings vs Kings XI Punjab Online - Chennai Look to Rectify Previous Defeat
League toppers Chennai Super Kings will certainly be seeking revenge when they clash with Kings XI Punjab in the 29th match of the Pepsi Indian Premier League 2014 at the Barabati Stadium, Cuttack, on Wednesday.
Punjab is responsible for dashing the dreams of the two-time IPL champions of a flying start, when their batsmen successfully chased a huge total to launch their own campaign in style in the first leg of the tournament in the UAE last month.
Things have undergone a lot of changes since then, as Mahendra Singh Dhoni's boys comfortably won all subsequent six matches to reach the top of the table with 12 points. On the other hand, Punjab too had a magnificent start winning their first five encounters and only losing their last game to Mumbai Indians, to be placed second on the points table.
For Chennai, opening pair Brendon McCullum and Dwayne Smith have thrashed all their opponent bowlers to help their team to amass huge runs in all the matches in the tournament so far. Glenn Maxwell has been leading the show for the Punjab team. Interestingly, these three batsmen are the top scorers of the tournament.
While skipper Dhoni and Suresh Raina have been consistent for Chennai, Punjab has been relying on the explosive form of David Miller this season. Maxwell and Miller have received adequate support from openers Cheteshwar Pujara and veteran Virendra Sehwag. Hence, it would be interesting to watch their performance today.
As far as the bowling performance of the teams is concerned, Mohit Sharma (12) and Ravindra Jadeja (11) have done most of the damage for Chennai, while Ramchandran Ashwin (7) and Ben Hilfenhaus (7) have too provided excellent. Sandeep Sharma and Lakshmipathy Balaji have done wonderful job for Punjab, and were supported by Mitchell Johnson, all-rounder Rishi Dhawan and spinner Akshar Patel.
All said and done, this will be of little consequence when Punjab bowlers face one of the best batting line-ups in the IPL.
The match will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, and can be watched online from 10.30 A.M ET (2.30 P.M. GMT) on Skycricket.net and GoCricket.com.
