IPL 2014 Live Stream Free: How to Watch Indian Premier League Online, Preview

Having clinched a miraculous win over Rajasthan Royals in their last match to qualify for the Pepsi Indian Premier League 2014 play-offs, defending champions Mumbai Indians face their sternest test in this season when they meet formidable Chennai Super Kings in the Eliminator, scheduled to be played at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, on Wednesday (May 28).

Thanks to Corey Anderson's 95 runs from 44 balls, Mumabi scraped through the IPL T20 2014 league phase to reach the play-offs following an impossible run chase. Now, they are expecting a repeat of their miraculous turnaround against Chennai.

Mumbai, who lost all their five matches in the UAE-leg of the tournament, seems to have put their woes behind.  Apart from Anderson's blitzkrieg last week, Mumbai has gained much from the contributions of Michael Hussey and Lendl Simmons, who has scored the only century in this IPL. Even skipper Rohit Sharma and Ambati Rayudu have put in their bit to strengthen the middle order. Although West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard has not been able to play up to his reputation this season, Mumbai is hoping he will return to form in the final leg of the tournament.

The absence of their best bowler Lasith Malinga and veteran pacer Zaheer Khan's injury have definitely weakened Mumbai's bowling attack. While Malinga has been called by Sri Lanka for the series against England, even Praveen Kumar, who was a replacement to Zaheer Khan, has sustained an ankle injury and it is uncertain he will feature in the vital tie against Chennai on Wednesday. The only good news is that inclusion leg-spinner Shreyas Gopal has added teeth to Mumbai's bowling department, while vetran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is gradually returning to his elements.

On the other hand, Chennai has finally broken their losing streak with a comfortable win against the Royal Challengers on Saturday after losing three consecutive games.

Chennai have defeated Mumbai in both the league ties this season and they would be eager score a hat-trick inch closer to the title, which they have won on two earlier occasions. Chennai has an excellent batting line-up, including the explosive opening pair comprising Dwayne Smith and New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum. Suresh Raina has also contributed his bit when needed.

So far, Smith has scored 501 this season, while McCullum has amassed 380 runs. Following a string of low scores, South African Faf du Plessis also returned to form in the last game. In addition, the recent inclusion of David Hussey has reinforced their batting line-up. Among the bowlers, Mohit Sharma has been most consistent with 18 scalps. Even all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has picked up 16 wickets.

The match will start at 10.00 a.m. ET (8.00 p.m. local time) and can be watched live on GoCricket.com and SkyCricket.net.
