iPhone's Siri to have Competition? Microsoft's Cortana Looks to be Premium Voice Command App

The woman who voiced Cortana (Jen Taylor), the AI to Halo's Master Chief, is now the new voice of Microsoft's answer to Siri.

The app will even be called Cortana, after the company's signature video game. It will launch a beta in April for the Lumia devices. The feature will also be on Xbox One and Windows in 2015, and launch internationally in 2016 reported Polygon.

Cortana will use voice command that improve on the current system in place for Window's phones. Users will be able to interact with the phone more naturally.

According to MSFTnerd, Taylor has also interviewed Princess Peach, Toad, and Toadette, as well as a slew of other video game characters.

New Halo 5 concept art was recently revealed by video game studio 343 for their upcoming Xbox One installment of the company's flagship game.

The new concept art can be seen here.

The picture was revealed because of the departure of former art director, Kenneth Scott. This piece is the work of Nicolas Bouvier, his replacement.

"Kenneth leaves some pretty massive shoes to fill on the Art Director front, but we are lucky to have another artistic giant stepping up to take the reins. Nicolas "Sparth" Bouvier is taking over for Kenneth as Art Director. Nicolas has been with the studio since the beginning as our Lead Concept Artist and he has worked closely with Kenneth over the past five years to define the visual language for 343's Halo," 343's Josh Holmes wrote on Halo Waypoint.

Halo is coming to the Xbox One this year according to Tweets by Halo senior PR manager Rob Semsey.

Dubbed as Halo 5, the game is currently in development and was announced at E3 2013. According to Microsoft vice president Phil Spencer's interview with Polygon, the next-gen Halo game did not launch with the Xbox One because the team was dedicated to making Halo 4 a complete and flawless game for the 360.
