iPhone to Release a cheaper plastic version of new iPhone? 

Photos have leaked from the Chinese gaming website, weiphone.com of new plastic covers for iPhones. 

If these pictures are legit, then iPhone is really changing their strategy giving a new color scheme and going with a cheaper plastic shell. 

There has been talk about iPhone going with a cheaper version of the phone when the iPhone 5s or iPhone 6 releases. This way people you can't afford a normal iPhone can get a cheaper version but still get to have the iPhone experience. 

Some reports are that the cheaper phones will be like an iPhone mini and others think that the cheaper iPhone (if it even exists) would actually be larger than the normal iPhone 5S. 

The colors in the leaked picture actually do look more like the new color scheme on the new iOS 7 platform, which could be a sign that they are trying to reach the younger generation.  
As iPhone has always only been available in white and black, it does seem like a stretch that iPhone would make a cheaper looking phone just to sell more. This does not seem like something Steve Jobs would ever back, with Jobs being so much about the beauty of design. I can't imagine that he would support this decision. 

The only thing that seems to make sense is that Apple wants more people to experience the iPhone who maybe cannot afford the normal iPhone. If you believe their intentions are truly just to help get the phone in more peoples hands, then that could be honorable in theory, but still find it hard to believe until we hear an official announcement.
