iPhone 6 Rumors: Release Date September 2014, Front Glass Panel

The Internet is flooded with rumors related to Apple's upcoming smartphone, presumably christened iPhone 6, and it is likely that the buzz will transform into a confirmed announcement by the Cupertino-headquartered tech titan.

A latest rumor originating from China talks about the announcement date of the new iPhone, in addition to information regarding the device's pricing (at least within the mainland).

According to this latest rumor, the upcoming 4.7-inch Apple device will have a front glass panel atop the display. A recent photograph of the purported iPhone 6 compares the device to the glass panel on the iPhone 5S.

If this is somewhat true, it gives Apple fans an idea regarding the size of the upcoming 4.7-inch iPhone compared to its predecessor. The image of the supposed device shows that its glass panel is more slender compared to that of the iPhone 5S, something that can be expected considering the recent technological advancement in smart device field.

Moreover, the iPhone 6's edges will have a rounded glass front, which will blend seamlessly with the device's metal frame, probably so the user could handle the biggest iPhone yet, easily with one hand.

It is also rumored that the iPhone 6 will be officially announced on September 15, with and possible released on September 25 (at least in China).

Earlier, a German carrier leaked that the upcoming handset is likely to be launched on September 19 in Germany. In fact, both these leaks may turn out to be true, as Apple is known to do phased rollouts of its devices across the world. Therefore, it may be assumed that in the first wave, the device will be launched in the United States and other nations on September 19, and the next wave of countries (including China) will get it six days later.

As far as the pricing of the 4.7-inch iPhone is concerned, its base price is expected to be the same as the current price of iPhone 5S in China (CNY 5,288 or $851), however, prices may vary on other parts of the globe.
