iPhone 6 Schedule to Release in June 2014
For the first time in ages, Apple is finally facing some real competition when it comes to phones. When the IPhone 5 came out, users were expecting the platform to be groundbreaking-ly different, but the only thing that seems to break is the phone itself. With Samsong's Galaxy on the market and the new Windows phone, users are finding the customization and longer battery life of iPhone's competitors to be more attractive.
Mums the word on the release of iPhone 6, but enough is shuffling around in the iPhone department to leave customers wondering about its arrival sooner than later. Tale-tale signs of change are ahead: many contracts (Verizon namely) are now offering the iPhone 5 for only a $100 dollars if you are up for an upgrade. The iPhone 4s dropped drastically in price before the release of the 5, and this change is leaving users wondering if they should hold out for a new release.
The release of the new iPhone, where its iPhone 6 or iPhone 5.something, has a lot of work to do. It not only has to make-up for the disappointment of the iPhone 5, but it has to clearly re-identify itself as the phone to beat in the marketplace, and it needs to come up with enough groundbreaking changes to make it usable. Some users suggest creating an iPhone that is more customizable. Sure, some of us love the Iconic clean look of rounded edges and streamlined features, but creatives are quickly board by the layout and don't want to risk jail breaking their phone to achieve customization.
Rumor's of the iPhone's next release are scheduled for June of 2014, with a possible half-step release in the Spring of 2014 (iPhone 5s). Now is the time for 1) competitors to relish in their bragging rights of beating Apple and 2) users to submit as many complaints as possible. Chances are we all have the same annoyances with iPhone, and want to see a release addresses those issues while drastically and clearly changing the way we communicate.
