iPhone 6 Release Date Rumors: Price More Expensive, Bigger Screen, Home Button Goes, But TouchID Instead
The iPhone 5 release was not met with much success especially with the simple updates that it brought to the general public. The iPhone 6 however, should be a different case entirely. According to a survey of 4109 consumers in the US, the iPhone 6 is the most anticipated gadget on the market, much more than the iPhone 5 ever was.
Apple has already given consumers a small preview of what to expect with the new iPhone 6 during the announcement of the iOS 8 at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). People can expect that the iPhone 6 will be a big upgrade from the previous iPhone, with a likely release date of September this year.
One thing is for sure, with the Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia Z2, and HTC One M8's release, a bigger screen on the iPhone 6 is a must. Apple will also need to make sure that the iPhone 6 is a notch better than the rest of its market if it wants to gain an advantage.
With the release of the anticipated smartphone not far off, rumors are already spreading rapidly throughout the web.
As with the previous iPhone releases, the next one won't come cheap. Considering that the iPhone 6 will come with a hardware upgrade, the price of the smartphone might go up compared to previous releases. It is speculated that prices may start at around $950/£550/AU$1000.
The most exciting rumor, thus far, is the one that concerns the screen size increase. It is known that fans have been wanting bigger screens on their phones especially since the iPhone 5 isn't fully HD. There are also rumors of the home button being removed altogether in favor of the new TouchID technology.
