iPhone 6 Release Date Rumors: Launch Just Days Away? Pressure to Bring Out New Bigger iPhone
Of late, there has been a lot of hype regarding the upcoming launch of Apple's latest smartphone - the iPhone 6. Tech freaks, Apple fans and experts seem to be equally excited and are speculating that the device may be launched on September 9.
In fact, Apple has already sent out Press invites for an iPhone launch and will be hosting an event in Cupertino on the 9th this month, with the catch phrase 'Wish we could say more'.
It is expected that apart from the iPhone 6, Apple will also utilize the occasion to announce its new iPad Air and iPad Mini.
As the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S were mere updates of the earlier models, the upcoming iPhone could be one of the most revolutionary devices in the brand history of Apple. Hence, Apple seems to be under a lot of pressure vis-Ã -vis the iPhone 6.
Apple has been following the tradition of launching its products at a special event organized in September. As has been a habit with the Cupertino-based tech behemoth, the launch of a new hardware, especially the iPhone, is accompanied with the release of a new mobile operating system. Therefore, iPhone 6 may possibly be released alongside the new iOS 8 and subsequently the iPad Air sometime next month.
Moreover, it also seems that Apple is also going to release both size variants of the iPhone - the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch - simultaneously. Although, nothing is for sure at this point, because some speculate that Apple may launch the two variants at different times, with the 5.5-inch version being delayed for sometime.
Nevertheless, with its business rivals like Samsung, HTC, and LG offering first-rate large-screen smartphones, it has become necessary for the Cupertino-headquartered tech titan to make the iPhone 6 as large, if not bigger than those launched by its competitors. If Apple wants to stand a chance against the likes of the Galaxy S5, the One M8, and the G3, they certainly have to do so.
