iPhone 6: Two Screen Size Variants Coming in 2014 Apple Event

The wait for the iPhone 6 release is finally coming to a close as Apple's new flagship smartphone model is coming out Tuesday, September 9. Fans are looking forward to the new device, not only because of its upgraded hardware, but because it will be equipped with the recently released iOS 8. Like previous campaigns, the launch will be followed up with an on-sale release date, probably 10 days after the announcement.

During the announcement of iOS 8 previously, techies have been given a sneak peek on what iPhone 6 would feature. Apple has promised their fans that iPhone 6 will have a bigger screen, a higher MP camera, and more storage.

Recode reported that iPhone 6 will be available in two screen size variants. There will be a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch model, which are expected to have A8 processors.

According to Mac Rumors, iPhone 6 is anticipated to take on the design elements of iPad and the iPod touch. The phone is also said to be thinner than the current iPhone. Currently, iPhone 5S is 7.6mm thick, and the latest 4.7-inch iPhone 6 model is expected to be 6.9mm thick, with length of 138mm and a width of 66mm. On the other hand, the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 will supposedly be 7.1mm thick, with length of 158mm and a width of 78mm.

The 5.5-inch iPhone 6 is said to be the only model with a storage capacity of 128GB in iPhone product history according to Mac Rumors. However, higher storage capacity always means that it will be more expensive. As of yet, prices for the devices have no been disclosed.
