iPhone 6 Release Date, Specs Rumors: iPhone Screen Manufacturer Indicates Everything on Track for Launch
Apple will begin production on the screens for its newest version of the iPhone in May, according to sources. The smartphone giant will start with its 4.7 inch screen for the standard next generation of the iPhone. This will be followed by a delay and finally the 5.5 version of the screen will be manufactured.
There have been several rumors about the screen of the new iPhone. First, many postulated that the screen would be much bigger than the iPhone 5S to compete with rival companies who were creating bigger screens.
More recent rumors however, hold that there will be two releases by Apple, one regular iPhone and one iPhablet, which will be larger and comparable as much to a tablet as to a phone.
Sources say that with this move Apple plans to challenge the current king of the 'phablet' market Samsung Galaxy, which is already on the verge of distributing their latest version, the Galaxy S5, in the next week or so.
News of companies ramping up for the screen manufacturing has made a buzz in the Apple community. A source has given the names of the manufacturers of the new screen that have been contracted, saying that Japan Display Inc, Sharp Corp, and South Korea's LG Display Co Ltd will all be tapped to be involved in the massive undertaking.
Apple C.E.O. Tim Cook has been very secretive with this new product so there's not much people are saying that can be verified, but the launch date has already been rumored for Fall 2014. Considering the news of the screen production, it now seems likely that we will see a new smart phone around that time.
