iPhone 6 Battery Life Rumors: iPhone 5S Battery Problems Cause Apple to Bring New Battery Manufacturer for iPhone 6

While some iPhone users have been complaining about battery problems, latest reports say that the alleged issues related to ultra-thin batteries for the upcoming iPhones has been solved. The Cupertino, California-based tech giant seems to have been resolved the situation by enlisting with a new manufacturing partner in Taiwan.

According to Taiwan's Economic Daily, Hsin Chu-based Simplo Technologies is said to have developed thin and flexible batteries for the reported "iPhone 6," something which the existing suppliers of Apple - Samsung and LG Chemical, were not able to accomplish.

The first reports that Apple may delay the launch of its upcoming 5.5-inch iPhone 6 first appeared last April. The design of the company's next-generation iPhone is reported to require a battery that is below 2 mm in length - a notable reduction from the existing iPhones.

It is widely anticipated that Apple will be launching two new iPhone models this Fall, both having bigger displays compared to the existing 4-inch unit found on the iPhone 5 series. It is also rumored that the upcoming handsets will sport an "A8" application processor as well as a sapphire-covered display. The latter, however, is a hotly-debated guess.

Although it was initially believed that both upcoming iPhone 6 models would be released together, now it is being hinted that the launch of the 5.5-inch version may be delayed. In recent times, Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-placed analyst, reported that the release of the larger version may be delayed until 2015, primarily owing to the manufacturing problems related to the device's metal casing.

According to another report, new research has shown that a bigger display is not the main concern for iPhone buyers. A poll conducted by the gadget deal site WalletHero found that 97 percent of potential iPhone buyers are looking for better battery life.
