iPhone 5S Rumors: September Release Date Delayed for 4.3 Inch Screen? iPhone 6 in 2014 Next Apple Phone?

Could Apple be delaying the iPhone 5S release because they want to change the screen size? Though the rumor just seems like one more on a list of ridiculous anticipation leading up to the expected September 2013 launch, some sources claim Apple may go against its own grain and make the iPhone 5S display larger.

Apple insiders based out of Asia claim the usual 4-inch iPhone screen could be updated to 4.3-inch to stay relevant with the increasingly popular Samsung Galaxy S4.

Apple cares so much about a larger screen that they're even pushing back production to accommodate the design changes.

"[Apple] halted processor production for [the] iPhone 5S in May," according to BrightWire news.

The new iPhone 5S was initially rumored to stay consistent with Apple's 4-inch screen and be released either September or October of this year. Looks like Apple fans might have to wait a little longer than expected.

What does this mean for the iPhone 6? Usually Apple waits every other year to update its iPhone lineup by a whole number, usually opting for the "S" version as a interim update.

If the next iPhone is being pushed back to 2014 for screen size reasons, does that mean Apple will bypass the iPhone 5S, instead releasing a brand new iPhone 6?

Though Apple CEO Tim Cook was once cited as calling a 4-inch screen optimal for the average hand, it seems the popularity of larger displays is even catching the Cupertino-based software company's attention.

According to the same source, the new low-cost, budget iPhone is still expected to be released in the September, October time frame.
