iPhone 5S Rumors: AT&T Prepping for Pre-Orders? Upgrade in the Middle of 2 Year Contract
Is the new iPhone 5S coming to AT&T soon? That's the latest bit of hype coming out of the Apple rumor mill. GottaBeMobile is claiming the cell phone carrier is already prepping for pre-orders and special deals on the next installment of the flagship iPhone series from Apple.
According to the same report Apple fans will be able to upgrade to the new iPhone, even if they're in the middle of their existing plan. Usually AT&T forces users to sign up for a 2-year, 24-month contract. Similar to past iPhone releases, AT&T could be opening its doors to new contracts!
To sum up the rest of the rumors, the new iPhone 5S should be released in the next few months. Most reports point to September or October. Either way, if the iPhone 5S is released in 2013, it'll be out before the holiday season.
Also the new iPhone 5S is expected to upgrade the processor, storage and internal memory. To keep up with the Samsung Galaxy S4 the processor will most likely be clocked around the 2GHz mark, with close to 2GB RAM.
Also, Apple will most likely have a higher-end camera. To stay relevant, the new iPhone 5S will probably have a 13-megapixel camera, matching the industry leading Galaxy S4.
Who knows? Either way, it's looking like AT&T is going to roll out the red carpet as usual and let a new generation of iPhone users sign up; no questions asked.
