iPhone 5S Rumors: New iPhone with Super Fast LTE-A Standard? Apple Release "World Phone"

I got 99 problems but more iPhone 5S rumors isn't one.

You've already heard all of the rumors about a possible September release date, and a new iPhone 5S coming out days after the new Apple operating system i0S 7. You've heard the bits about a new Sharp IGZIO displays supporting Full HD, while staying lighter and thinner than previous models. You've even heard of rumored features like an industry-matching 13-megapixel camera and even a possible fingerprint reader.

But possibly the most under appreciated, and latest rumor to come from the Apple factory is under the hood of the new iPhone 5S. The freshest gossip out of China is the new super-fast LTE-advanced standard.

The Qualcomm technology responsible for adding LTE-A can let Apple create a true global phone. Apple would finally be able to sell the the same iPhone in different parts of the world, instead of selling different versions for different countries' network standards.

According to Apple insider Sam Oliver:

"The Qualcomm RF360...would enable an iPhone that supports all...networks. Currently, the iPhone 5 is sold in three variants...to offer compatibility with various networks across the world. [The] RF360 would mitigate this problem, and even add support for the obscure TD-SCDMA network used by the world's largest carrier, China Mobile."

Though most reports indicate the latest rumors are still just rumors and Apple is currently only in talks with the South Korea-based SK Telecom company.

Could Apple have the planet's first "world phone"? Steve Jobs would be pleased.
