With only a few months aways from a new iPhone 5S upgrade [alleged release date in September], now's as good as any time to review some of the iPhone 5S rumors new and old.

Images from Chinese Apple insider sites NoWhereElse.fr and Weibo surface on the internet recently, leading many to believe the new iPhone 5S could be available in colors other than just black and white. The component pieces in the leaked images are gold, showing a color scheme beyond Apple's usual.

According to the pictures, Apple's design will remain the same for the new iPhone 5S.

Rumors predicting the iPhone 5S release date, specs and features have been circulating since the iPhone 5 was released last year.

Release date rumors claimed an iPhone 5S launch anywhere from March to September. With March long gone, the September release date [or later in 2013] seems much more plausible.

It's been reported the new iPhone 5S would boast a Retina + Sharp IGZO display with Full HD resolution [1080p].

Following Apple custom, the iPhone 5S processor will also receive an upgrade. Given the A6X chip was used in the iPad 4, Apple fans can expect to see something a little more advanced in the new iPhone 5S. Could we see the next-gen A7 processor chip? Could it compete with Samsung's new Exynos 5 Octa chip?

To stay competitive with the surging Samsung Galaxy S4 and Sony Xperia Z, Apple will most likely feature a camera no less than 13 MP on the new iPhone 5S.
