iPhone 5S Release Date Rumors, Features, Specs and More! Sharp IGZIO to Replace Retina Display? [VIDEO]

The iPhone 5 is only six months old but for most of that time the Internet has been buzzing with iPhone 5S speculation. Most reports indicate an iPhone 5S release somewhere in the second half of 2013, most likely around September.

A source close to Apple, Gizmorati claimed a new event called "Original Passion, New Ideas" will host not only the iPad 5 launch but also the new iPhone 5S. However still no confirmation as to when the event will be held.

The iPhone 5S is rumored to boast a Retina + Sharp IGZO display, equipped with a 1080p Full HD resolution. In response to the variety of Android operated phones, many believe Apple will launch two iPhone sizes.

As far as the new camera goes, the iPhone 5 will most likely match the 13MP found on the Sony Xperia Z [what the Galaxy S4 is likely to have as well]. The improved camera is more of a defensive move than a groundbreaking new upgrade.

CP Tech reported that Apple filed a patent in March for Wireless Power Utilizaion, a wireless charging system with near-field magnetic resonance (NFMR). Though wireless charging has been a rumored new feature for the last several iPhone models, the recently purchased patent application makes the speculation seem a little more credible.
