iPhone 5S Release Date Rumors: Apple to Launch 'Gold' iPhone in Three Weeks? 128 GB Storage Option, Dual LED Flash on Camera? [NEWS]

Could there be a new gold colored iPhone 5S on the way?

The latest release date rumors have Apple unveiling the new iPhone 5S in just three weeks. Now the buzz is that the tech giant is exploring the idea of a gold case.

According to MG Seigler of Tech Crunch, the rumors are true and for the first time the iPhone will shake up the traditional black and white color scheme.

"Yes, there will be a gold iPhone," Siegler wrote. "That's the latest I'm hearing from multiple sources after several weeks of rumors and possible component leaks suggesting the same thing... And now, upon checking, sure enough, there will be gold."

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported a whole slew of new features on board the iPhone 5S. Along with the gold casing, Kuo believes the new iPhone 5S could feature a 128 GB model, twice the current max. Kuo speculates if the storage rumors are true, the 16 GB model will most likely be scrapped.

Also new to the Apple smartphone, Kuo predicts an A7 processor chip and 1 GB of RAM. Per usual, the camera will also be upgraded. The 5S will still keep the 8-Megapixel format but come equipped with a dual LED flash that will help the phone's photo quality in low-light conditions.

Again, these are just rumors and speculation. If the iPhone 5S release date is really set for three weeks from now, then we'll know all about the new specs and features soon enough.
