iPad Pro Release Date Rumors: 12.9-inch or 13.3-inch Model Professional Tablet Coming in October 2014

The tremendous success of the iPad line since its original release has encouraged Apple to launch several variants of this tablet, such as the iPad Air and the iPad Mini. Currently, rumors are rife that the Cupertino-headquartered tech behemoth is working on a bigger version of the iPad, which has been purportedly named the iPad Pro.

If rumors are to be believed, the bigger as well as more professional-oriented tablet is likely to arrive sometime later in 2014, presumably in November since that is the time of the year when Apple released the first iPad Air last year.

Currently, the Internet is flooded with speculation and rumors regarding the release date of the device. While some have speculated that the iPad Pro will be launched this October, there are others who say that it will be released in 2015, with the device going into production early next year.

In addition, there are rumors that Apple will be releasing two versions of the iPad Pro - one device having 2k resolution screen, while the other version with a 4k resolution screen. Some people also presume that the iPad Pro will come only in one variant - with a UHD resolution.

As far as the screen size is concerned, there are various rumors, which make it difficult to presume the screen size of the device. Some sources have suggested that Apple is expecting one manufacturer, Quanta Computer, to have either a 12.9-inch or 13.3-inch model ready for production.

The design of the iPad Pro is unlikely to be any different from the design of its smaller versions, but it will certainly be heavier compared to the iPad.

While it is assumed that the purported professional tablet will feature Apple's signature aluminum backings and the slim profile, but it is still not clear as to how Apple will achieve the thinness of the iPad Air on the bigger iPad Pro.
